Sailing and Watersports
Just 15 minutes drive from glenlee there are two excellent facilities in the galloway sailing centre and Loch Ken water ski school where you can wind-surf, go canoeing or water-skiing, ride on a banana boat, or just go sailing.
Walking
Close to the southern upland way, glenlee is in an area of outstanding beauty with plenty of walks to suit all levels and energies.
Riding
Some people think that galloway can be seen at its best from horseback. Whatever your level of riding, lessons and treks across the hills or the beach can be easily arranged.
Environmental tours
Make the most of staying in the Galloway countryside and have the chance to see nature in the wild at first hand.

Glenlee is close to the 7 stanes and the Forestry Commission cycle tracks.
Fishing
If you are staying at Glenlee, we offer you free trout fishing on our stretch of the River Ken. There is more fishing available in the area in local lochs and rivers.

Golf
Dumfries and Galloway is renowned for being ‘golfer-friendly’ whatever your level of play is and there are 29 different golf clubs to choose from.
As part of ‘the little gems’ trail, New Galloway hosts a very sporting 9-hole course with stunning views south over Loch Ken and towards the Cumbrian hills. Other courses in this trail are at Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie and Gatehouse.
Those with more experience and expertise may like to try the courses in ‘The Challenge Trail’ or even ‘The Tiger Trail’!
